We are very excited to offer communication training as an integral part of The Future is Mine.  Each session includes a 30-minute segment teaching skills that enable participants to develop effective communication through practical experience.   The value provided by this training will enhance every aspect of the participant's future career and personal endeavors.  

 

Participants will learn to:

• Organize and give speeches

• Give impromptu talks

• Control voice, vocabulary and gestures

• Master timing techniques

• Give constructive feedback 

• Exercise leadership skills

 

According to research conducted with 3,000 U.S. inhabitants, speaking before a group is the worst human fear.  After completing our communication training, The Future is Mine participants will be able to present in front of a group with confidence, just like thirteen-year-old Shelby Kilpatrick and her 10-year-old twin sisters, Lauren and Kaitlyn, who had participated in communication training in San Diego and were only a "little nervous" the day they spoke for an audience of 14,000 at the 2006 Environmental Science Research Institute’s international conference.  "Once we started talking, everything was fine!" says Shelby.
